Growth in tourism in Honduras is expected to increase by 30 percent this year

Tourism in Honduras is expected to grow by about 30 percent this year during the summer season.

Hotels are already reserved to 80 percent of their capacity for this summer.

While the country's Bay Islands are still the main international tourism hotspot, a campaign has been launched to promote the Mayan ruins of Copán, after a recent surge in interest for the Mayan culture.
