Nicaraguan and foreign investors are to invest $33.3 million in Nicaraguan tourism.

One project is the expansion of the Pacific Turtle Resort & Spa. Some $17 million is to be invested in refurbishment and the construction of an additional 110 rooms at the hotels.

In southern Nicaragua, $4 million is to be invested in a project to be known as Agua Resort and Spa.
