The newly developed Banana Coast port in Honduras will be the first port of call for cruise company Holland America Line.
The 1,260-passenger Ryndam will open the port on November 19, 2014, and make 10 more calls during the winter season.
The $30 million Banana Coast port in Trujillo recently finished construction on its passenger-reception area and shopping center. A two-ship post-Panamax pier is in the works.
