Friday, May 18, 2012
Colombia's retail sales rose at a healthy pace in March compared with the same month a year ago, but industrial output declined slightly, according to government data.
Retail sales climbed 5 percent in March while industrial output slipped 0.9 percent, the government's statistics agency said in a statement.
The March rise in retail sales was led by a 21 percent increase in purchases of utensils and other products for the home, and an 18 percent rise in clothing and textile products.
