Costa Rica poised to lower gasoline and hike bus fares

The Public Services Regulatory Authority of Costa Rica started evaluating a request to lower gas prices that could benefit motorists starting in September.

Recope, the national oil refinery asked for cuts on prices of gasoline and diesel. The authority is also studying a possible reduction in bus fares that would lower fares nationwide by 4.4% reduction on bus fares.
