Europe donates $26 million for regional rail plan

The Central American parliament and the Central American Integration System are jointly backing the construction of a Central American rail route that will help tourism and commerce within the region.
The European Union donated $25 million for a preparatory phase that will test the feasibility of the project.
The rail line will run from Chiapas in southern Mexico to Panama.
