Government: Mexico to grow 3.9 percent in 2014

Mexico's economy will grow 3.9 percent in 2014, picking up steam after the slowdown registered this year, the Ministry of Finance said.

The government revised its 2013 gross domestic product projection downward from 3.5 percent to 1.8 percent at the end of the first half of this year.

The nation's oil production is projected to hit 2.53 million barrels per day this year, dropping to 2.52 million barrels per day in 2014.
