Thursday, July 18, 2013
The Mexican public mining sector, comprised of Autlán, Frisco, Grupo México and Peñoles, lost $17.15 billion of their value at the Mexican Stock Exchange.
The loss is mainly a consequence of a drop in the price of metals.
From January to June this year, the price of gold dropped 27 percent, while silver dropped 35 percent.
