Nicaraguan free trade zones counteract exports slump

An overhaul of Nicaragua’s free trade zones has helped counteract the effects of the country’s exports, which declined by 13 percent in the first four months of the year.
“Free trade zones have helped soften the drop in exports,” said the Nicaraguan Foundation for Economic and Social Development, Funides.
