Panama deficit dips to 1.7 percent of GDP

Panama’s fiscal deficit of the non-financial public sector at the end of the third quarter of 2016 was $911 million, equivalent to 1.7 percent of GDP.
The difference between the income and expenditures of the public sector was $102 million lower than the deficit during the same period of the previous year, when the deficit was 1.9 percent of GDP.
