$1.9 million for regional tourism in marketing

The Central American Tourism Council is to develop 22 projects costing a total of $1.9 million to boost the sector throughout the region.
The projects are in five areas, promotion and marketing; security; support for small firms, and fortification of the institutional framework of tourism.
Funds for the projects are being provided by aid from Spain, Taiwan and Switzerland.
