$1 billion court battle over port in Costa Rica
Monday, June 27, 2011
A Costa Rican court will decide the fate of a plan to allow APM Terminals of Holland to build and operate a new port.
The project, on Costa Rica’s Caribbean coast, is valued at $1 billion.
In March, banana producers said that the project will add millions of dollars to their costs. Now they have sued the government in a bid to halt the project.
