'Papers' have little Panama impact: World Bank

The “Panama Papers” scandal will have little effect on the economy of Panama and other nations in the region, according to the World Bank.

Augusto de la Torre, the bank’s chief economist for Latin America and the Caribbean, said the impact on Panama will be limited to Panama because its ability to grow derives mainly from the logistics network currently being developed around the Canal expansion.
