100 Montaditos opens in Guatemala

Spain's 100 Montaditos, a unit of the Restalia Group, has opened the first of nine restaurants planned for Guatemala, the Spanish Economic and Trade Office said.

The new restaurant, which charges between $1.30 and $2.70 for its small sandwiches, is the chain's first in Central America.

Franchise owner Sandwiches y Restauracion plans to open two more of the restaurant franchises in November and one in March 2015.
