Aeromexico to open direct flight to Guatemala

Aeromexico announced it will open direct flights from Tapachula, Mexico, to Guatemala, starting on August 27.

The flights aim to increase tourism and trade with Southern Mexico, an area which the Guatemalan tourism authority sees as an attractive market, said the airline's commercial director in Guatemala, José Francisco del Cid.

Aeromexico already operates three direct flights between the two nation's capita cities since July 2011.
