Air Costa Rica is Central America's newest carrier

Central America's newest airline, Air Costa Rica, is expected to begin operations by the end of this year or early 2015, Costa Rican daily La República reported.

The carrier will begin with flights to Nicaragua, and then add Panama and Miami.

The airline aims to offer direct flights at competitive prices, with routes to Miami from $409, to Managua for $364 and to Panama for $351.
