Air France aims to buck decline in Panama tourism

Air France aims to buck the trend of decline in Panama's tourism industry with the offer of a new flight between Paris and Panama City from October 29, bringing to seven the flights operated by the French airline each week.

“The daily flight of Air France between Panama City and Paris-Charles de Gaulle complements the daily flight from KLM to Amsterdam-Schiphol on the Boeing 777," said Panama’s  Tourism Authority. Tocumen International Airport serves Panama City and with 400 daily flights, more than 80 destinations and a passenger traffic of 15.6 million in 2017, it is one of the main terminals of connections in Latin America. But tourism in Panama  has been  shrinking, leading to thousands of job losses,
