Alcatel-Lucent paid $10 million to Costa Rica

The Costa Rican state electricity company ICE reported that on July 30 telecommunications company Alcatel-Lucent paid $10 million in damages in a settlement agreement over a corruption trial.

ICE’s board of directors on June 8 authorized an out-of-court settlement in the civil case. The criminal case, however, will continue, ICE said in a press release.
