America Movil buys Digicel in Honduras and El Salvador

Mexico's America Movil agreed to buy Jamaica-based Digicel Group's businesses in Honduras and El Salvador.

America Movil, owned by the world's richest man, Carlos Slim, said that as part of the agreement it is selling its Jamaican business to Digicel. America Movil did not disclose the size of the deal.

Digicel said it expects to receive a net cash payment.
