América Móvil to invest $10 billion this year

América Móvil, the telecoms company controlled by Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim, announced investment plans for this year totaling $10 billion.

The investments will be used to expand the company's LTE networks in Mexico and Brazil, its pay T.V. services and add more fibre optic to its networks.

The company will also spend $2.98 billion on share repurchases.
