Bad weather seen hitting El Salvador coffee harvest

Bad weather in the 2016-2017 coffee harvest in El Salvador could increase conditions for coffee rust fungus, said Oscar Ramos, manager of the Salvadoran Coffee Research Foundation.
“The frequency of rain in the first six months of the year was not enough to allow the trees to grow healthy coffee beans,” local growers said.
