More than 1,000 bankers and people involved in the financial industries are gathering in Panama for the Hemispheric Congress for the Prevention of Money Laundering.
The congress is being organized by the Panama Bakers' Association.
"The meetings will have a focus on criminal corruption," said one official from the organizers. "We will also be looking at tax evasion, which the Gafi is studying in particular."
