Uber has a major competitor in Costa Rica. Even amidst uncertainty about the legality of ride-sharing platforms in Costa Rica, DiDi launched there yesterday.

China-based DiDi, which which has spread rapidly in recent years as part of an aggressive globalization campaign, already is reported to have more than 5,000 drivers in Costa Rica, the Tico Times reports.
