BBVA adds warning on inflation to growing perspective for Panama growth

Panama’s economy will continue to grow strongly this year by 7.8 percent, driven by public spending and private consumption.
But the main threat is inflation, now running at 5.3 percent, says Spain’s BBVA financial group.
The country’s solid perspectives “will attract investment that will finance high deficit levels in the current account,” BBVA reports.
