Beef threatens to topple coffee as the leading export product of Nicaragua

Nicaragua's cattle ranchers are expecting to achieve a minimum of 8 percent growth in beef exports.

If they reach their target, beef will become Nicaragua's leading export after years in which coffee has been number one.

Last year, Nicaragua exported $432 million of beef exports, including cattle on the hoof.
