Berlusconi offers technology for firms in drugs fight

Thursday, July 1, 2010

The Italian premier, Silvio Berlusconi, offered to help Central America in its fight against drug traffickers. Berlusconi was speaking with regional leaders in Panama at a meeting of the Central American Integration System (Sica).

“We hope to use every type of mechanism that can be used to fight drug trafficking in Central America,” said Berlusconi.

Berlusconi added: “Italian technology has advanced in many fields, and business people from all Central America should be able to use it to control their countries’ coasts and air space.”
