Big electricity tender posponed in Panama

Friday, February 1, 2019

A major electricity tender that involved a 500-kilowatt transmission line has been postponed for a month. The line aims to double the back-up capacity of the national grid.

The postponement was ordered at the request of five companies that were already prequalified for the tender.

Companies and consortiums from Spain, China, Brazil, India, Colombia, France and Canada are among those that have been prequalified.
