Blackout closes Panama for hours ahead of Papal visit

Only three days ahead of the major Roman Catholic World Youth Festival, which is to be visited by Pope Francisco, Panama faced a three-hour power blackout on Sunday.

The blackout caused the suspension of services in the Metro -- the on ly one in Central America -- the Panama Canal and the Tocumen international airport.

In addition the problem affected services in Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Guatemala.
