Bolivia steps in to help hard-pressed El Salvador with $200 million

Bolivia has tepped in to the rescue of the government of El Salvador with a $200 million loan in the form of Treasury bills that should tide the Central American nation until early next year.

Since the middle of this year, the government of El Salvador has admitted that is faces a financial crisis. Experts say the Bolivian loan will be only a stop-gap.
