Burger King and Beboca forge regional empire

Burger King will expand its presence in Central America through a new joint venture with franchisee Beboca.

Beboca already operates 48 restaurants in Costa Rica and Panama, and with the new agreement, both companies will open restaurants in El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua and Guatemala.

The agreement was made possible due to a growing middle class in Central America, which in turn boosts the demand for fast-food chains.
