Business groups press for Panama airport update

Various guilds and associations are calling for the modernization of the Air Cargo Terminal at Tocumen International Airport, an important link in the logistics chain of Panama.

The Tocumen administration envisions a program of modernization of the air cargo terminal beginning next year and it should be completed in a period of five years, depending on demand.

Current terminal facilities for airfreight do not have the requirements for handling perishable cargo and modernization plans include an airport that has its own cool cargo facilities.
