Business leaders back full integration of the region

The key to success for the region’s economy is integration, Central American business leaders said yesterday. The plea was issued just when voters in the United States were backing Donald Trump, now the US president-elect.

The long-standing plea by the business leaders appears to contrast the views of Trump, who is hostile to commercial alliances and will soon be the leader of Central America’s leading trade partner.
