Business leaders urge Honduran legislators to pass Mining Law quickly

Business leaders in Honduras have urged the National Congress to approve a Mining Law that aims to develop mining in the country.

Supporters of the bill say that mining companies are the second most contributor of the government's finances.

They add that Honduras has more mining potential than any other country in Central America because of its huge deposits of gold, silver, lead, zinc and copper.
