Cable and Wireless buys Panama's Grupo Sonitel

Cable & Wireless acquired through its Panamanian subsidiary Grupo Sonitel.

The operation was worth $36 million, with an extra $5 million contingency fund.

With the operation Cable & Wireless will expand its presence in the region, as Sonitel provides information technology services in Panama, El Salvador, Nicaragua and peru.
