Cable & Wireless has half of Panama cell market

Cable & Wireless Panama, CWP, reported $601 million in income for the tax year that ended last March.

CWP has a 50 percent share of the cellular phone market and a $15 million, or 3 percent, growth in its income.

However, the company reported losses for 9 percent in its fixed-line telephone services.
