Calvo tuna group aims for 15 percent increase in sales by means of new markets

The El Salvador-based but Spanish controlled tuna company Grupo Calvo has launched exports to Belize and Canada.

The company is also exploring the Colombian market as well as boosting its presence in the US, which it had sales of $2 million last year.

Calvo expects growth in sales of 10 to 15 percent this year. Last year, it exported $68 million.
