Canada launches trade accord with Panama

A free trade agreement between Panama and Canada officially came into effect yesterday.

The agreement will immediately benefit more than 90 percent of Canadian exports, due to the elimination of customs tariffs.

Trade between the two countries has grown by up to 62 percent over the last four years, said Canadian officials.
