Canada provides boost to tourism in Guatemala

The Canadian International Development Agency, Acdi, along with Guatemala's tourism authority, Inguat, created a development project to promote tourism in Guatemala.

As a result, several associations, committees and groups that offer tourism services have grouped up to offer joint facilities, such as guided tours and sale of local crafts.

The project is focused on the Atitlán lake region, Guatemala's third favorite international tourist destination.
