Tuesday, November 30, 2010

Canada’s Tahoe Resources said it has increased the silver resource at the Escobal project in Guatemala and published the results of an independent preliminary assessment on the asset.

The company indicated that it still aims to make a construction decision on the mine in 2012 and could start first production late in 2013.

The indicated silver resource at Escobal has grown 144 percent. The mine could produce an average of more than 19-million ounces of silver in the first five years.
