Canada shows interest in Mexican reforms

Canadian oil companies have shown interest in Mexico's proposed energy reforms, saying they open up great possibilities.

"We are closely following the proposals," said Karl Johannson, vice president of TransCanada.

The firm already has successful natural gas businesses in Mexico, and is looking to participate in energy plant tenders, said Johannson.
