Carbon neutral target will spell good business for Costa Rica in tourism and exports

Thursday, January 6, 2011

Costa Rica’s government will have to spend some $7.8 billion in order to reach its carbon neutral target.

But the reduction of the carbon footprint will mean a lot for much more than the environment. Tourism, exports and foreign investment are likely to be boosted.

The main benefit in tourism will be the arrival of more people who want to visit a country that is environment friendly.
