Caribbean urged to boost trade with Central America

The Caribbean needs to take advantage of trading and investment links with Central America, according to Assistant Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS) Albert Ramdin.

A two-day Caribbean Investment Forum opened in Port-of-Spain yesterday with regional officials underscoring the need to widen trade links with Central America.

Port-of-Spain is now finalizing partial-scope agreements with Panama and has commenced similar negotiations with Guatemala.
