América Móvil, the telecoms company controlled by Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim, could be entering the Indian market soon, according to U.S. analyst firm Seeking Alpha.

"América Móvil is planning to enter India's telecoms market," said Adnan Riaz, a consultant at Seeking Alpha.

He added that América Móvil's entrance to India will depend on aspects such as new merger trends that would result of an accord between Vodafone and AT&T.
