Carlos Slim wins Olympic gold

América Móvil, the world’s fourth largest telcomunicaciones company, said that Mexico’s public-access TV networks, will not be able to transmit the Rio Olympics because they have not bought the rights.

The transmission rights for Rio were acquired by Carlos Slim’s América Móvilin 2013. But the Games will still be available on the public networks, at a price, on cable and Internet.
