Tuesday, November 29, 2011

The four cellphone companies that operate in Panama are vying with each other with publicity for offers to invite customers to change their operator without changing their number.

The public services authority, Asep, announced that number portability is to be available for the owners of 6.5 million mobile phone numbers in the country -- two per inhabitant.

The service is being provided by Holland-based Porting Access, the winner of a $2.4 million contract.
