Central America cinema industry is booming

The cinema industry in Central America is undergoing consolidation and modernization with old theatres making way for new, and many existing screens being digitalized and fitted with better, more modern and comfortable seats. All these elements have helped the growth of admissions and grosses.

In 2014, Central American cinemas grossed $107 million. Growth was about 13 percent in two years.
