Central America could save $410 million in light bulbs

Central America could save up to $410 million a year if homes in the region switched from incandescent to fluorescent bulbs.
"If 12 million light bulbs were changed in Central America, that would mean savings of up to $410 million in energy costs", said Nicaraguan Energy and Mines minister, Emilio Rappaccioli.
These estimates were presented as part of a regional plan which aims to help Central America cut down on energy costs.
