Central America helps Panama in energy crisis

El Salvador, Nicaragua and Honduras have joined to sell 80 megawatts of electricity to Panama.
The aim is to help Panama during its energy crisis, caused by severe draught which has affected its hydroelectric power plants.
The resources from the other Central American countries have been financed mostly by the Inter-American Development Bank and the Bank for Central American Economic Integration.
