Central America hits high growth but poverty persists

The economy of Central America and the Dominican Republic grew in 2017 by 3.8 percent, but the growth has yet to translate into a reduction in poverty, according to the Inter-American Development  Bank.

The finding is in the latest report of a meeting of the IDB governors.
