Central America to shine amid regional gloom

The outlook for Central America is a shining example by contrast with the gloomy predictions of economic growth, according to the ECLA balance sheet sheet for 2018-2019.

Average growth in Latin America was 1.2 percent last year and 1.7 for 2019. The comparable figures for Central America are 3.2 and 3.3.

The forecasts for Colombia are 2.7 and 3.3 percent, while those of Mexico are 2.2 and 2.1 percent.
